Hi everyone looking for a bit of help with my mondeo 2012 2.0 tdci, il start from the begining ,basically unlocked car and drove to work as normal got out and went to lock the car and nothing ,no response when i press the lock button on the key (car is not a keyless entry model has a standard remote key fob with flip out blade to start car ).

However when the car went for test this year the rear fog light on the other side is not working, so I assumed it was just the bulb and I went to replace it, but
All the windows and door locks etc work apart from the drivers sidei back door. So I dug out the good old Haynes manual and found the wiring diagrams for the door modules. Looks like LIN 1 is a Grey / Yellow cable, not a purple one, that must be for focusā or others.

I have looked at some old related threads within the Forum to try and resolve it but so far no luck, the fan also does not operate when aircon is selected. The 60Amp fuse is ok, there is 12v
Quite a bit of disassembly to get the heater out. One of those jobs where it either. goes smoothly or you spend half the time trying to get something to fit right. Removing the resistor is easier but nowhere near as easy as testing the voltages. with a cheap meter. Checking for a voltages will save you a ton of work.
It depends on battery charge, electrical load and various temperatures. The system doesn't ever turn itself off using the switch. If there is a fault preventing the system working, a warning will show on the dash. If it's just not stopping because the parameters haven't been met, that isn't actually a fault.
